On 24–25 April, the 2nd all-Russia Intellectual Game for youth of the oil & gas industry, Neftyanaya Sova (“Oil Owl”), was held within the scope of the 72nd Oil & Gas 2018 International Youth Science Conference hosted by the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. The game, consisting of two rounds, brought together 84 teams. 30 strongest teams that won semi-finals competed for the title of the best intellectual team in the oil and gas industry. The competition ended with Giprotruboprovod’s team taking 2nd place.
Giprotruboprovod has held a ceremony of awarding winners of a Pprofessional Skills Contest. It was the first time the design institute conducted such an event, which brought together heads and professionals of Giprotruboprovod’s branches from Moscow, Omsk, Tyumen, Ufa, Samara, Volgograd, Krasnodar and Kazan.
Giprotruboprovod summed up the results of the photo contest on the topic of ecological activities, organized as part of the Year of Ecology, announced in the Russian Federation and Transneft.
Giprotruboprovod obtained the positive opinion of Glavgosexpertiza of Russia FAE (Federal Autonomous Establishment “General State Authority for Appraisal”) regarding the project of replacement of sections Almetievsk - Samara-1 (113.44-117.55 km, 118.44 – 119.18 km, 122.37 – 139.97 km) of Almetievsk - Kuybyshev-1 oil trunk pipeline.
The specialists of Giprotruboprovod developed a project of replacement of sections of Almetievsk - Kuybyshev-1 oil trunk pipeline with the total length of about 20 km located in Isaklinsky District of Samara Region at the distance of 100 km from the regional centre.
Giprotruboprovod obtained a positive opinion of Glavgosexpertiza of Russia FAE (Federal Autonomous Establishment “General State Authority for Appraisal”) on capital construction facility of a standby leg of an underwater crossing of ESPO-2 oil trunk pipeline across the river Amur.
To the extent of the Year of Ecology, in order to fulfil the objectives of the environmental management system in the direction “Optimization of treatment of spent batteries”, Giprotruboprovod organized centralized recycling of spent accumulators and batteries.
Aleksandr Gorokhov, Director General of Giprotruboprovod, opened the ceremonial event. In his short opening speech he said: “All the institute’s employees timely performed the production tasks set by Transneft. Well-coordinated work and purposefulness of the whole team allowed the Company to develop and implement for the first time ever the project of oil trunk pipeline laid beyond the Arctic Circle, as well as to generate the project documents successfully and to commission Kuyumba – Tayshet oil trunk pipeline”.
8 employees of Giprotruboprovod were awarded with lapel pins “For personal contribution. Zapolyarye – Purpe” and 6 employees were awarded with lapel pins “For personal contribution. Kuyumba – Tayshet” for their great contribution upon implementation of the projects of the oil trunk pipelines construction and the achieved labour successes in accordance with the orders of Transneft.
